Privacy notice
Effective September 18, 2026
This notice explains how StoneWave Research LLC handles personal information through AuCoinOnline.com and the AuCoin Payments app. AuCoin Online provides the hosted payment service for orders placed with StoneWave Research. StoneWave Research remains the seller.
For the store account, research qualification, shopping, shipping and other store activities, also read the StoneWave Research privacy notice.
Information used by the service
- Order and customer information from StoneWave: order number, items, quantities, total, currency, name, email, billing and shipping details, and identifiers that connect the checkout to the correct order.
- Payment records: payment and refund amounts, processor references, status, timestamps, error categories, and limited card details such as card brand and last four digits when the payment processor returns them.
- Merchant and administrator information: merchant identity, authorized app connection information, administrator email and role, sign-in activity and records of payment-management actions. The service uses authorized server-side payment credentials to verify payment status and manage payment records.
- Technical and support information: IP address, browser/request information, session identifiers, security logs and information you choose to send when asking for help.
How card entry works
The billing and card entry form on the payment page is hosted by Authorize.net. Your card number and security code are submitted directly to Authorize.net through that form. AuCoin requests the hosted form using the order amount, reference and billing details, then verifies the resulting transaction on the server. AuCoin does not receive or store your full card number or security code.
Authorize.net and its payment-processing partners handle information under their own terms and privacy notice. Their hosted form may use security and fraud-prevention services.
Why information is used and shared
We use this information to display and verify your order, process a payment or authorized refund, return you to the store, update the order after verified payment, reconcile records, answer support requests, prevent duplicate or unauthorized activity and maintain accounting and security records.
Information is available to authorized StoneWave personnel and the hosting, payment, security and communications providers needed to operate the service. AuCoin sends verified payment and refund results back to StoneWave. We may also disclose records when required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, resolve a payment dispute or protect the service and affected people.
Cookies and browser storage
The service uses cookies for session continuity, request protection and administrator sign-in. StoneWave's payment-return page uses temporary browser storage to limit automatic confirmation checks. Authorize.net and its fraud-prevention providers may use their own cookies or similar technologies when the hosted payment form loads.
AuCoin does not include advertising or audience-measurement scripts in its application pages. Browser Do Not Track signals do not change the operation of required session, security or payment functions. You can manage cookies and site storage in your browser, but blocking them may prevent checkout or sign-in from working.
Retention and security
Payment, order, support and audit records are kept for operational, accounting, dispute-resolution, fraud-prevention and legal needs. The retention period depends on the record and those needs; an expired checkout link does not mean the underlying order or payment record has been deleted. Backups may retain earlier copies until they are replaced.
Controls include HTTPS, restricted administrator roles, signed communication between the store and payment service, and protected server-side credentials. No storage system or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and requests
Contact info@stonewaveresearch.com to ask about information associated with you or request access, correction or deletion. Depending on your location and applicable law, additional privacy rights may apply. We may need to verify your identity and authority, and some records may need to be retained for payment, accounting, security or legal reasons. Do not email card numbers, security codes, passwords or API keys.
Authorized merchants can contact support to request disconnection of the app or review of retained app information. Disconnecting access does not itself erase existing transaction records.
Children and updates
This service supports StoneWave's adult research customers and authorized merchant personnel. It is not directed to children. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, contact us so we can review it.
We will post revisions on this page with a new effective date. Where applicable law requires additional notice, we will provide it.
